Published: Nov 20, 2017 by Luther Liggett

In the October trades section meetings of the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board, members voted to move forward with disciplining 37 contractors for license violations.

The Board is vigorously investigating contractors who sell their license, to allow unlicensed contractors to use a license when not employed by the licensed contractor.

The Electrical Section cited 7 contractors for allowing improper use of their license by an unlicensed contractor; and cited an additional 4 unlicensed contractors.

The Plumbing Section cited 2 contractors for allowing improper use of their license by an unlicensed contractor; and cited an additional 8 unlicensed contractors.

The HVAC-Refrigeration Section cited 3 contractors for allowing improper use of their license by an unlicensed contractor; and cited an additional 12 unlicensed contractors.

The Board fined one electrical contractor $60.00 plus 10 additional continuing education hours, for renewing late four times in the past.
